Customer Experience Improvement Program CEIP is the program by which you can learn how to improve the product which you are using, through the feedback provided by you. If you enable this feature, then your product will automatically send the basic error and usage information to Microsoft,about how you use your programs and devices and how your program react indifferent queries. This information is combined with other CEIP data to help the Microsoft to solve your problems and improve your products and features that used by the end customers.
Participating in CEIP by using Server Manager
If you want to participate in Customer Experience Improvement Program using Server Manager, you have to follow the following steps.
- Select the Administrative Tools and then click on the Server Manager.
- Select and Expand the Resources and Support Area.
- Click on the Configure CEIPto open the Customer Experience Improvement Program Configuration Dialog Box.
- Then you have to confirm the Participation, Yes, I want to Participate in the CEIP. Click Ok Button.
Changing Automatic Updating Setting by using Server Manager:
If you want to change the Automatic Updating Settings by using Server manager, you have to follow the below steps.
- Open Server Manager from the Administrative Tools.
- Now you have to expand the Server Summary Area.
- Further you have to expand the Security Information area and select the Configure Updates.
- Now you have the Windows Update Dialog Box, you have different option available and you have to choose one of them:
- If you want the updates automatically as they become available, you can choose Have Windows install Updates Automatically.
- Second option is to Let me Choose to open the change setting windows, which allow you to turn off updates and only available when you want the updates.
- After making the changes in Change Settings window which you opened from Let me Choose and click OK Button.
Participating in Windows Error Reporting by Using ServerManager:
If you also want to participate in Windows Error Reporting by using the Server Manager, you have to follow the below steps.
- Open Server Manager from the Administrative Tools.
- Expand the Resource and Support area from the Server Manager.
- After Expanding the Resource and Support area, click on the Turn on Windows Error Reporting.
- In the Windows Error Reporting Configuration window you have different options available and you have to choose one of them.
- Yes, automatically send detailed reports.
- Yes, automatically send summary reports.
- After selecting the above reports, click on the OK button.
